The AASA Short Track Nationals at One Raceway will take place from June 20-21 on the traditional 2.35km clockwise layout.
The country New South Wales venue will play host to the one-make Mazda RX8 series, Formula RX8, the feature category of Round 2.
Formula RX8 will run a speedway inspired format similar to the one run by the TFH Hire Legend Cars at the inaugural round of the AASA Short Track Nationals, which proved incredibly popular with drivers and fans alike.
On Saturday the rotary powered machines will have four heat races including a couple of inverted grid races before the on-track action heats up on Sunday.
Sunday will see them contest a 25-minute Shootout and Pre-Final in the morning before a two-stage final.
The grid in Stage 1 is determined by the combined points to that moment of the weekend, however the top eight are inverted. The Stage 2 grid is set on the finishing order of Stage 1 with double points on the line for the winner.
Unlike the Legend Cars Short Track Nationals, the RX8 Nationals Champion will be crowned based on combined points of all the heats, the pre-final and two stage final, it is not a winner takes all event.
Formula RX8 will be joined by the TFH Hire Legend Cars Australia Championship which is a running a round of its national series.
As they did at Sydney Motorsport Park, the thundering Stock Cars Australia machines and AASA Tin Tops will also feature as a support category. While additionally the Hankook Australian Drivers Championship joins the bill.
All the support categories will have a practice session, qualifying and five races across the course of the jam-packed two-day event.
