Oli Wickham storms to Yokohama Tyre AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship pole in Sydney

BF Racing’s Oli Wickham will start the opening race of the Yokohama Tyre AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship from pole position following a scorching lap on Sydney Motorsport Park’s Druitt Circuit.

Setting a 1m 03.620s lap, Wickham set pole by 0.207s to title rival Isaac Demellweek in a closely fought session.

Another championship contender, Seth Burchartz will start third alongside surprise packet Kaleb Belak in a starring performance.

Hunter Salvatore lines up fifth and shares the third row with impressive rookie Xavier Henderson.

With work to do is Jamie Rowe from seventh as Giuseppe Imbrogno joins him on the fourth row.

Rounding out the top 10 were Lachie Minneeff and one of the pacesetters from yesterday’s practice sessions, Will Lowing.

Drivers just outside of the top 10 include Brad James, Sam March, Will Hickey, Rio Campbell, Jett Leicester, Tabitha Ambrose and Ryan DeBorre.

Race 1 for the Yokohama Tyre AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship begins at 6:55pm AEST live on Clay-Per-View.
