2026 AASA Combine Prizes Announced
The Australian Auto-Sport Alliance has confirmed the prizes on offer to those competing in the pre-season test, titled the 2026 AASA Combine.
As previously announced, the AASA Combine will take place at Winton Motor Raceway from February 18-19 and is open to all categories that participate in the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series and AASA Short Track Nationals.
In conjunction with a regular test day format, the Combine will also offer real world simulations, including practice race starts and even qualifying shootouts.
A substantial prize is on the line for the competitors who perform strongest in each category at the Combine.
Day 1 will see each category run a shootout session, a one-lap shot at glory, similar in format to a Top 10 Shootout.
Day 2’s competition will reward consistency, with an Indy 500 style qualifying session, where the average of four consecutive qualifying laps is taken.
Points are awarded based on the results of both the shootout and Indy style qualifying sessions.
The driver with the most points overall scores a year’s free testing at Winton Motor Raceway as part of the track’s Test and Tune Days.
With the AASA Media team on hand at the Combine, it is a fantastic opportunity for drivers and teams to get exposure by revealing car liveries or making other notable announcements.
All garages are free to hire, however, it is a case of first in best dressed, so booking early will secure a pit lane garage.
The test will have official timing for both days using MyLaps.
Off-track on Wednesday evening, all competitors and crew are invited to an information/Q&A session where several important announcements will be made.
If you enter by Friday, you will go in the draw to win five free Winton Motor Raceway Test and Tune days for the remainder of 2026.
Entry into the Combine costs $150 plus GST per day (bookings must be for both days). To enter or find out more information about the inaugural Combine, click here.
Marcos Ambrose – AASA Competition and Commercial Director
“The Combine is a way to kick off AASA's circuit season for our competitors,” Ambrose said.
“The event is open to anybody who will race in one of our national level events this year either the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series or AASA Short Track Nationals, we are offering some real value for them, both in low costs, but also with something to win!
“Winning a year’s free testing is a great prize and we thank Winton Motor Raceway for supporting the AASA Combine.
“In addition, if you enter this week, you go in the draw to win five free tests days – that in itself is totally worth just turning up for.”
