High Horsepower & Heavy Metal: Season Opener Double Header

The 2025/26 Down Under Modified Tractor Pulling Association season kicked off with a massive NSW double-header, delivering a masterclass in horsepower, mechanical grit, and nail-biting finishes across Grenfell and Deni.

Round 1: Grenfell’s New Turf

Grenfell debuted a brand-new track, and the Dirt Drs nailed the setup with near-perfect moisture for a fast downhill pull. Highlights included the wild atmosphere: Belinda Day set the tone with the national anthem from the deck of Wicked Whitetail. DAVEY Full Pulls dominated nearly every class. The Cornfoot brothers delivered a Pro Stock masterclass, while the Limited and Super Minis were forced into dramatic pull-offs to decide the podium. Teams battled through blown gaskets and diff issues in the Open and Outlaw Minis to keep the show alive.

Round 2: The Deni Duel

Barely a week later, the paddock rolled into the Deni Truck Show. The transition from Grenfell’s wide-open run to Deni’s tight, technical circle-work arena shifted the focus from raw power to driver finesse. Changing track conditions rewarded smooth tyre setups and consistent driving. The night air was thick with smoke as Pro Stocks Wicked Whitetail and Wolverine Deere 2 locked into a fierce, run-for-run duel. Despite ECU gremlins in the Super Minis, the Limited Modified class kept the flags lining the bank with a flurry of high-stakes pulls.

Looking Ahead:

Two rounds in, and the competition has never been tighter. With new builds proving their worth and rivalries already simmering, the momentum is building toward our next stop.

The show will return at Whittlesea on the 17th January, 2026.
