Jake Camilleri and Glenn Walker take hard-fought Sydney 3 Hour

Round 2 of the 2026 Game Over Australian Endurance Championship provided another thrilling finish as Jake Camilleri and Glenn Walker took victory in the Sydney 3 Hour.

Camilleri recovered from an early spin to take the flag following a superb comeback in the final stages to overhaul the ATR Motorsport BMW M2 of Eric Ebert and Luke Vanna.

It was an impressive run for the second-placed entry in what is a new build by ATR Motorsport, with Ebert falling 11s behind by the end.

A penalty delayed the Steve Jukes/Karl Begg BMW F82 M4, but the duo fought back to third, while an inopportune Pace Car period dropped the AR Nineteen Mercedes-AMG GT shared by Mark Griffith and Tom Hayman out of contention.

Rounding out the top five was the Property Investment Store McLaren 570s driven by Anthony Soole and Grant Denyer for a great result after failing to finish the opening round in Queensland.

Camilleri and Walker also took the Class 1 victory, while the Ebert/Vanna pairing won Class 2.

Father-daughter team Paul and Karlie Buccini took the Class 3 victory in what was an entertaining battle early in the race.

Camilleri led the way during the opening stint, which ended after he spun at the final corner leading to a pit stop and driver change to Walker.

A delaminated tyre for John Nikolovski led to debris on the track and the Pace Car, which hurt Griffith as he was forced to follow it for a lap.

The mighty HSV Clubsport R8 of Jim Manteufel and Ben Gersekowski took a brief lead after electing not to pit, but when the race restarted Walker snatched it back.

A penalty for Nikolovski compounded another delaminated tyre for the Mercedes-AMG to put it well back, while similar problems afflicted the big HSV to drop it out of the lead of Class 3.

Walker delivered the Grand Prix Motorsport Mercedes-AMG to Camilleri for the final stint in good shape to set-up an all-out attack for the lead.

Camilleri needed to pick off the top five, which he successful did concluding when he overtook Ebert with seven minutes to go.

Behind the top five, Nikolovski with co-driver Fabian Coulthard recovered to sixth ahead of teammates Jamie Arratoon and Luke King.

Anthony Levitt ran the race solo in eighth ahead of Cody and Misty Grimsley in the second ATR Motorsport BMW.

The Buccinis and Manteufel/Gersekowski rounded out those classified.

The sole retirement of the event was the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X of Graeme Wakefield/Craig Allan due to a broken throttle body.

Next up for the Game Over Australian Endurance Championship is the prestigious Fight in the Night event at Queensland Raceway as part of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series on August 14-16.
