The Historic Speedway Association of Australia held its annual Historic Speedway Spectacular this month with an overwhelming number of competitors across a number of classes.

The Historic Speedway Association of Australia was formed on the 26th October 2005 with a foundation membership of 23 members with interests in vintage & classic speedway speedcars. With over 120 active members, The HSAA this year celebrated 20 years of on track demonstrations.

The Fourth King Truss Historic Speedway Association of Australia - HSAA Spectacular is done and dusted for 2025. As the Clerk of the Course and club secretary I want to give a huge shout out to all our members, the NSW Vintage Club, VSAQ members, Classic Club members who put on a wonderful, spirited demonstration.

To all the volunteers who made set up and pull down quick and efficient I thank you so much we made a great team. To all our officials, push cars, flaggies and quad riders you are my legends. To our president and treasurer who do so much behind the scenes thank you.

To our distinguished guests from the Auckland Vintage Speedway Club we are very grateful for your support and listening to your amazing stories you are all legends of our sport. To our Grand Marshall, Club Patron and Speedway Legends of the 60's we are truly humbled by your support in keeping our memories alive. To our amazing photographer's Kym Douglas Photography and HM14 Photography for capturing our event we thank you.

As the Clerk of the Course the event could not have run any smoother and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The respect and camaraderie you all showed each other was amazing. My highlights of the 2 days were having 4 of my family sharing drives in our 2 cars and kart and 3 of us volunteering and 3 cheering us on from the sidelines.

AASA are proud to work with the HSAA, hosting events which embody community spirit and encourage the love for the sport. The Historic Speedway Spectacular will return to an even larger volunteer/community led event in 2026.
