AASA backs ATR’s new era and Lifestyle Rally
The Australian Auto‑Sport Alliance (AASA) is proud to support the revitalised Australian Tarmac Rally (ATR) program and the upcoming Lifestyle Rally: Mt Buller, a curated, all‑inclusive drive experience that blends the excitement of closed‑road stages with open‑road spirited driving, elegant dining, and premium alpine stays.
Running 13-15 February 2026, Lifestyle Rally: Mt Buller gives enthusiasts rare access to closed‑road sprint stages on the famed Mt Buller Sprint, paired with scenic open‑road runs through King Valley and the Eildon-Jamieson region, crafted not as a competition, but as a luxurious multi‑day rally experience with every detail handled end‑to‑end.
AASA is working closely with ATR to usher in a refreshed tarmac rally landscape, ensuring events are professionally sanctioned and delivered to rigorous standards of safety and compliance. That collaboration includes ATR’s 2026 calendar and the introduction of premium, lifestyle led formats designed to broaden participation while maintaining rally authenticity.
The Lifestyle Rally difference: closed‑road thrills, open‑road freedom, and dining among the vines:
Closed‑road Mt Buller Sprint stages to the summit deliver the visceral, high‑altitude thrill fans associate with ATR’s iconic mountain events—now accessible in a guided, non‑competitive format.
Open‑road spirited driving across alpine vistas with flowing valley roads, culminating in King Valley, home to family‑run wineries, Italian varietals, and relaxed outdoor dining under the trees—a setting that elevates the rally’s culinary experience.
All‑inclusive hospitality: three nights on‑mountain, all meals, curated stops (including Mansfield Coffee Merchant), radio comms, event merch, concierge support, and more—so participants can focus on the drive and the company. Each ticket covers two people per car, with defined driving groups and speed limits under closed‑road conditions.
