The remaining categories are the Yokohama AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship in which the stars of the future do combat. There will be some old NASCARs and AUSCARs in Australian Stock Cars, the rotary powered Mazda RX8s in Formula RX8, as will the diverse AASA TT.
The pocket rocket TFH Hire Legend Cars Australia series drivers will be competing for the honour of becoming the inaugural Short Track Nationals title holder.
The Australian Auto-Sport Alliance has announced and designed a unique speedway inspired format specifically designed for the Short Track Nationals.
Details on the format can be found here, while the event schedule can be found here.
No less than four speedway stars have already committed to the event within the Legends.
The event will take place on the shorter eight turn Druitt Layout at SMSP, with a majority of the event’s action taking place under lights, creating a real spectacle for fans.

Graham Sattler - AASA Short Track Nationals Series Manager
“Very few things come free these days, particularly Motorsport events, so it’s fantastic to showcase the TFH Legends Short Track Nationals at SMSP with the offer of free tickets to all race fans,” Sattler said.
“The two nights of action at SMSP will feature the Legends Nationals running the Speedway sprint format. Something very new to circuit racing here in Australia.
“We’ve also thrown in the chance to win a ride in the Nationals Pace Car. Just register for a free ticket and you’re in the draw.”
